गलवान की घाटी में सीमा सुरक्षा के बीच भारतीय और चीन जवानों के बीच तनातनी हुयी. रविवार की रात हिंसक झड़प में भारतीय सेना के कम से कम 20 जवानों के शहीद होने की खबर सामने आयी. समाचार एजेंसी एएनआई ने खबर की पुष्टि करते हुए कहा है कि भारतीय की तरफ से इंटरसेप्ट से यह पता चला है कि चीन के करीब 43 जवानों को नुकसान हुआ है. इनमें से कई लोगों की मौत हुई है.
अब अमिताभ बच्चन, अक्षय कुमार, विक्की कौशल और सोनू सूद जैसे सितारों ने जवानों के शहीद होने पर दुःख व्यक्त किया है. वरुण धवन ने लिखा, 'जवानों की शहादत की खबर से मेरे दिल बेहद दुखी है. हम हमेशा उनकी इस कुर्बानी के लिए ऋणी रहेंगे.'

अक्षय कुमार ने ट्वीट कर लिखा, ''गलवान वैली में हुई हमारी बहादुर जवानों की शहादत से बेहद दुखी हूं. राष्ट्र के लिए उनकी अमूल्य सेवा के लिए हम सदैव उनके ऋणी रहेंगे. शहीदों के परिजनों के प्रति संवेदना व्यक्त करता हूं.'
