शुक्रवार 3 जुलाई की सुबह कोरियोग्राफर सरोज खान के निधन की खबर ने उनके सभी चाहनेवाले, फैंस और दोस्तों को चौंकाकर रख दिया. 72 साल की उम्र में उन्होंने बांद्रा के गुरु नानक अस्पताल में आखिरी सांस ली. सरोज खान को डयबिटीज थी. उनके निधन पर सोनम कपूर, संजय दत्त, तापसी पन्नू  और कंगना रनौत समेत और भी कई स्टार्स ने श्रद्धांजलि दी. 

सोनम कपूर ने सरोज खान की फोटो शेयर करते हुए लिखा, 'रेस्ट इन पीस सरोज जी'.

She defined a generation of heroines. Certainly #MrIndia would not have been same film without #SarojKhan. You had to see her dance as she rehearsed with SriDevi. She was messmerizing.
