8 जुलाई की रात को दिग्गज अभिनेता जगदीप का 81 साल की उम्र में निधन हो गया. ऋषि कपूर, इरफान खान, सुशांत सिंह राजपूत और सरोज खान के बाद जगदीप पांचवें ऐसे अभिनेता है जिन्होंने दुनिया को अलविदा कहा है. जगदीप का असली नाम सैयद इश्तियाक अहमद जाफरी है.
उनके निधन पर अनुपम खेर, अजय देवगन, अनिल कपूर, जॉनी लिवर सहित और भी बॉलीवुड एक्टर्स ने श्रद्धांजलि दी.
अनिल कपूर ने जगदीप को श्रद्धांजलि देते हुए लिखा, 'जगदीप साब भारत के महान अभिनेताओं में से एक थे ... मैं उनका बहुत बड़ा प्रशंसक था और काफी भाग्यशाली था जो उनके साथ 'एक बार कहो' और कई और फ़िल्मों में काम करने का मौका मिला.. वह हमेशा बेहद सहायक और उत्साहवर्धक थे... मेरे भेजने से मेरे दोस्त जावेद और परिवार को हार्दिक संवेदना और प्रार्थना ...
